Threads has become a big issue for Twitter now! Meta launched a new social media platform under Instagram called “Threads” on 5th July, 2023. This app is similar to Twitter as the main purpose of these two apps are almost the same. Let’s see what exactly Meta has launched and how it really works.

What is Threads?

Threads is a microblogging platform where you can write and share texts, images, videos and interact with other users. You can also repost other user’s posts, react and comment on other user’s posts. Threads is closely integrated with Instagram. You can connect your Threads account with your Instagram account to get connected with your Instagram followers on Threads. Once you connect your Instagram with Threads, you cannot delete one of them individually. If you want, you have to delete both of your accounts or keep them both. Meta tried to focus on an independent app for text centric contents. So, they made Threads.

How Threads is a threat for Twitter?

After Elon Musk bought Twitter, the growth of Twitter came down and Twitter had to face a big loss. Elon Musk has changed a lot of features and guidelines which the users didn’t like. So, many users left Twitter and some of them were searching for something similar to Twitter or better. Now they’ve got what they wanted. Meta has more users than Twitter. There is a big chance that Meta will acquire the users of Twitter to their new app. In this way, they’ll not only gain more users to Threads, but also gain users to Instagram.

There is a big competition between these two apps now. Both of these apps have almost the same features but there are some differences between them. Let’s see the difference between Twitter and Threads.
